Myn Universe Deeping is a personal astronomy journaling app. This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use the app and its companion service at api.mynuniversedeeping.cc.

Information we collect
- A random device identifier stored securely on your device and sent with API requests.
- Observation history you choose to sync, including object identifiers, observation dates, and instrument type.
- Anonymous quiz results submitted after Star Trials sessions.
- Journal backup snapshots if you use cloud backup features.
- Basic service diagnostics such as request timestamps and deployment metadata.
The app stores your full journal locally on your device. Synced data is associated with your device identifier, not with your name, unless you include personal details in support messages.
How we use information
- Store and restore your observation history and journal backups.
- Compute anonymous worldwide statistics (for example, sightings logged today or objects logged by other users).
- Improve reliability of catalog, almanac, and spotlight content delivery.
- Respond to support requests you send to the developer.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Data retention
Synced history and backups remain on the server until you delete them from the app, request deletion, or erase all local data and associated server records. Anonymous aggregate statistics may be retained in summarized form.
Your choices
- You can use the app offline with data stored only on your device.
- You can erase all local data from the Observatory settings screen.
- You can contact the developer to request deletion of server-side data linked to your device.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
